Bill Cosby Is An American icon, not just a black icon but an all American icon and there can only be one Bill Cosby to do what only he has done. He brought endless possibilities to what black Americans could achieve in life through simple television and psychological adjustments to the black family role. The Cosby show is said to have been the premier psychological surgery that reshaped the black image vs black stereotypes commonly associated with white/black television shows and or stereotypical black life. What were the black television shows prior to The Cosby Show? These shows, though strongly cultured, cast a very inferior and/or psychologically demeaning view of “African-American” life and occupation. The view was either extremely racist (or prejudice) or tried extremely hard to hide the obvious. There’s a simple explanation according to our host.
